Weather Decimates Junior Programme

It is a frustrating time for all followers of junior football with the weather constantly interrupting the programme.

Yet again it was frost, which caused the damage with only a handful of fixtures going ahead throughout Scotland, and those which did were played on all weather surfaces.

Unfortunately for Arbroath Vics they do not have the luxury of an artificial pitch and their league match at home to Coupar Angus was postponed for the second successive week.  Early morning rain only served to exacerbate the problem with water lying on top of the already frozen surface.

Although Vics have managed to fit in a couple of friendlies, they have only seen competitive action twice since the end of November last year, with frost being the culprit on every occasion.

This Saturday, Vics will be hoping for better luck when they again try to get the match against Coupar Angus played at Ogilvy Park.  Kick-off is at 2 p.m.
